Examine Your Communion

Communion is an invitation from Jesus into deeper fellowship with Him and His church. As the Host of the meal, Christ directs our worship to His sacrifice, His presence, and His promised return. The Lord’s Table is worship, not a sacrifice we bring or a funeral we observe, but a celebration that engages all our senses in tasting and seeing the goodness of God. Jesus welcomes His people to partake—not because they are flawless, but because they are His. Paul’s instruction to “examine yourselves” is not a call to self-excommunication but a reminder to come with the right heart of worship. Communion unites the church in worship and sustains believers as they journey toward the final feast with Christ in His kingdom.
