• Ordination
  June 6 to June 7, Sunday, May 31, 2009, we will have the opportunity to hear and question Daniel C's doctrinal statement as he is preparing to be ordained for the ministry on June 7, 2009. On Saturday, June 6, an ordination council will be present to review Daniel's statement and make a recommendation regarding his ordination. Then on Sunday, June 7, there will be an ordination service in the evening at 6:00 p.m. Plan to be there to encourage Daniel during any of these events.

• Ladies Outing
  June 23, Ladies, mark your calendar for a trip to the Alpha Women's Center in Des Moines with lunch following.

• Vacation Bible School
  June 8 to June 12, This year's Vacation Bible School will be held June 8-12, 2009. The theme will be "Polar Extremes, All of Me All-Out for God." Laura Carter will be our guest missionary. If you are interested in helping, complete a sign up form or contact JoAn H.

• IARBC 73rd Annual Conference
  April 20 to April 22, This year's conference will be held at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church in Waterloo. Dr. Showers will be speaking on "The Church Prophetically" and Dr. Little's messages will be on "The Church Practically." Please check with the church office if you would like more information.

• Mother/Daughter Tea
  April 25, Ladies, be sure to save this date on your calendar. "Finding Wild Flowers Amongst the Weeds" will be the theme for the day. There will be coffee, tea, juice and refreshments along with a devotional, games and fellowship. Please sign up on the bulletin board if you will be attending. Also, we could use your pretty teapots to decorate the tables.

• Impact 09
  April 16 to April 18, Teens pre-register by March 29 if you plan to attend the youth conference "Taking the Lead" at FBBC. Cost will be $35 if pre-registered or $40 at the door. This fee will include the conference, meals, lodging and a T-shirt.
