About Us

Bethel Baptist Church is located in Oskaloosa, Iowa and is a member of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches and the Iowa Association of Regular Baptist Churches. Our church has been pastored by Bruce Thompson since 1996.

Our Beliefs

We believe that Genesis through Revelations is the God-breathed Holy Word written by men who were guided by Him. We believe the Bible exists, in it's entirety, without error or contradiction, and is the guiding Book in all matters of individual Christianity and the church itself.

Membership

Membership is a serious commitment and is based upon a profession of faith through Salvation and a symbol of the Resurrection through baptism. The testimony of the profession of faith is heard and decided upon by both the deacons of the church and the congregation of the church. Upon membership, members of the church are expected to actively participate the furtherance of the Gospel in both the church and community abroad.

Bethel Baptist Church can be found in Oskaloosa, Iowa. From Des Moines, drive south and east on US Highway 163 and take the first exit to Oskaloosa. Turn left onto "A" Avenue West. You should be traveling east. You'll see our sign on the left side of the road (if you head back to our home page, you can see what our sign looks like).
